During Volunteer Week, we rallied our student leaders to deliver a fun programme of events that would engage new students in volunteering. Some highlights include:

  • 45 students attended our beach clean in Beaumaris, collecting 10 full bags of litter, learning about local river conservation from the North Wales River Trust and enjoying some free chips afterwards!

  • Volunteers helped plant 2205 trees at Bryn Ifan, the North Wales Wildlife Trust's new reserve. This marked the launch of our new tree-planting project, in partnership with the trust.

  • 42 items were brought in for our Repair Café, of which 10 were diagnosed and 26 fixed!

  • Our Raising and Giving Group (RAG) and Guide Dogs Project came together to deliver a pub quiz and fundraise for charity.

  • Our Wellbeing Projects, Connect and Wellbeing Buddies delivered a successful day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo for students to enjoy and connect with others and nature
