In November, we held an evening of conservation short talks, which consisted of 3 half an hour talks from professionals who worked for different conservation charities: Love The Oceans, RSPB Cymru and North Wales Wildlife Trust. Each speaker highlighted the work that their organisations do, as well as potential volunteering and future career opportunities they could provide to students.

Over 70 students showed up to this event and found it very useful to know what experiences they could gain locally and globally. A new partnership between the university and North Wales Wildlife Trust, Bryn Ifan, sprang out of this when a student approached us about starting a new volunteering project with the Trust.
