Manifesto

Academic

Making the voice of Welsh students one of the main considerations for any cuts and changes made as a result of financial hardship, ensuring that those cuts do not have any negative impact on UMCB or the rights of the Welsh language.

Protecting Welsh modules ensuring that the wishes of students who are eager to follow a course or module through the medium of Welsh are realized.

Visits to local schools to promote Welsh language life at the university in order to attract more to Bangor

Mental Health

Strengthen support for individuals who are affected by mental health problems by holding weekly chat sessions in the Undeb and strengthen students' understanding of the services available to them within the university and beyond.

Collaborate with the university to ensure that physical and mental health is a priority and that suitable and quality support is available to anyone who is concerned or feels stressed as a result of academic work.

Learners

Restructuring the ''Ffrind Cymraeg'' Project by creating a specific committee for the Project as well as expanding the Project to the wider community.

Add the role of Learner Representative to the UMCB Working committee so that learner representation increases

Social

Supporting the Cymric to create a vibrant Welsh-medium social calendar in Bangor.

Using the Union's platform to promote UMCB activities in order to increase the commitment of students who do not live in JMJ.

Increasing the status of UMCB by assisting and encouraging Aelwyd JMJ to compete in local Eisteddfods throughout the year and providing financial support to do so.

Supporting Cymric Sports to ensure that Welsh-medium Sports teams continue in Bangor and in an affordable manner, ensuring that cuts within the university do not have an impact on their accessibility.

Neuadd JMJ (JMJ Hall)

Fighting to ensure that Neuadd JMJ continues as a hall for Welsh speaking students as well as doing everything in my power to ensure that the hall and its common room get a renovation, making the students' voice the centre of that

Improving the quality of the Neuadd JMJ Common Room and making it a dedicated place to socialize again by pressing to get access to the internet there and to get a new television.
