In this year of working as UMCB president, one of my priorities is to promote the Welsh language. One idea I have for this is to offer a study room for students and learners of Welsh. I would like to have this room in Pontio as it is a location that allows students to do work and socialise. This room will be an effective way to promote the Welsh language as it brings the community closer and is also a space that encourages learners to come and practice the Welsh language. Additionally, I want to attract more Welsh-speaking students to Bangor to prioritize the importance of UMCB in keeping numbers high. Furthermore, I have a goal to improve the mental health of Welsh-speaking students and one strategy I have for this is to communicate with Cymric Sports to hold sessions to keep active and improve fitness. I am also looking forward to working with the executive committee and am determined to beat the 'ideological standard' in Bangor next year.
