*When purchasing a January Finisher Pass, please note that it is valid only until December 31, 2025.
Getting involved with sport at Bangor is simple, and joining a club is one of the best ways to make the most of your student experience. Whether you want to compete, keep fit, or try something new, our clubs are here for everyone!
1. Purchase Your Annual Pass
Before joining any sports club, youโll need to buy an Annual Sports Pass. This pass gives you access to the Athletic Union and UMCB Sports and unlocks free membership to any of our clubs.
There are two types of passes available:
Silver Annual Pass: Essential membership that allows you to join clubs, train, and take part in recreational activities.
Gold Annual Pass: Everything in Silver, plus full competition access to represent Bangor in BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) fixtures. *Rowing and Sub Aqua require a gold pass.
Your pass covers the entire academic year and gives you the flexibility to join as many clubs as you like at no extra cost.
2. Join Your Clubs
Once youโve purchased your Annual Pass, you now have access to join all clubs. Thereโs no additional membership fee, as your pass covers it all. Whether you want to focus on one sport or get involved in several, your pass makes it possible.
3. Pick up your Pass
After purchasing your membership, please visit the Students' Union on the 4th floor of Pontio to collect your membership sticker. An example is shown below:
4. Get Involved
Joining a club is more than just playing a sport. Youโll:
+Make new friends and be part of a community
+Stay active and boost your wellbeing
+Develop skills on and off the pitch
+Have opportunities to compete locally, nationally, and even internationally
You can try out activities before committing to membership!
Each student can attend up to two free taster sessions per group.
If youโd like to continue taking part after that, youโll need to purchase a valid Access Pass.
